Born into a disadvantaged family, Nguyên’s parents make a living by selling lottery tickets, and the family lives in a small rented room in the heart of the bustling city. Born with a form of dwarfism, Nguyên has never let her circumstances or appearance stop her from dreaming of education and changing her life.

Outside of school hours, whenever she has free time, Nguyên accompanies her mother through the streets to help sell lottery tickets, saving every little bit to ease the burden on her parents.

Sharing with her teachers, Nguyên said she wants to become an Accounting student at CTIM because she dreams of being an accountant in the future, becoming independent, supporting her parents, and helping her family escape the current hardship.
Since she cannot drive herself, her father will be the one to take her to and from school each day.
Looking into Nguyên’s confident eyes and hearing her determined voice, CTIM believes that the university will be the place where her aspirations are nurtured and her future journey takes flight.
CTIM’s "Stepping Stones to School" scholarship is not only financial support but also a message of encouragement:
"You are not alone on the road to higher education. Society will always have open arms to support beautiful dreams."
We wish Hồ Thảo Nguyên good health and strong willpower on her learning journey ahead, and hope she will soon become a talented accountant, leading her family out of poverty!
